Born to Eternal Life on August 1, 2018 at age 98. Lovingly survived by her children John (Joanne) Verbraken and Roxane Schumacher. Devoted grandma of Kristin (Dan), Corrie (Luis) and Danny (Alexa). Great grandma of Jack, Cameron, Isabelle, Benjamin, Everett and Leah. Dear sister of Mary (Ed) Mulloy. She will be loved and remembered by family and those whose lives she touched with her kindness and humor. Elaine is preceded in death by her husband Roland of 67 years and by her siblings Robert, John, Pat, Charlie and Bill.
Elaine's faith was an important part of her life. It was demonstrated by contributions of time to the church environment and her work in the Divine Mercy Parish office. Rocky and Elaine owned and operated Verbraken's Card and Gift Shop in South Milwaukee from 1960-1983.
Visitation will take place at Divine Mercy Church (800 Marquette Ave., South Milwaukee, WI) on Monday, August 6, 2018 from 9:30-10:45 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to Divine Mercy Parish.
