Elaine Bossa Bacigalupi Elaine Bossa Bacigalupi passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 3, 2022, at the age of 98 at her home in Santa Rosa. Born in Santa Rosa at General Hospital on September 28, 1923, to Daniel Bossa and Elinor (Nevro) Bossa. At age of three Elaine's Mother, Elinor passed away at age 26. Her grandmother Margherita Bossa and her aunt Margaret Bossa raised Elaine on their family ranch on Piner Road. Elaine graduated from Santa Rosa High School in 1941 and went on to graduate from Santa Rosa Junior College. After working a brief time at the Community Hospital on Chanate Road, her aunt Margaret Montaffi suggested she apply at the Sonoma County Court House. That began an over 40-year career working for three Superior Court Judges. She was the secretary for The Honorable Judge Charles McGoldrick, The Honorable Judge Lawrence Antolini and The Honorable Judge Joseph Murphy. One of her career highlights in 1950, Elaine was among six other county employees who founded the Sonoma County Employees Credit Union. Their vision was to provide county workers with affordable loans and a safe place to save their money. In September of 1982 it was renamed The Redwood Credit Union. RCU has been awarded Forbes #2 Best-in-State Credit Union in California as well as other prestigious awards and recognitions in the United States. Elaine loved the arts in Sonoma County. She was a subscriber to the Sonoma County Symphony, loved the Plays at Santa Rosa JC and the many venues at Luther Burbank Center for The Arts. She never missed a Thursday night or Saturday concert in Montgomery Village. She enjoyed the numerous adventures offered by Trips 4 U. She loved dining at all the fabulous restaurants in Sonoma County, preluded by her beloved Martini with 2 olives. Elaine was a member of Sonoma County Employees Retirement Association and The Saturday Afternoon Club since 1974. Keeping up with Elaine's love for Sonoma County she read the Press Democrat from front to back every day enjoying a piece of See's Candy. Elaine is survived by her cousins, the Lauritzen/Lane family of Antioch and the Nervo family originally from Geyserville. Elaine's Interment was held in a small gathering at Santa Rosa Memorial Park on Friday, May 13th. 2022. For those whom Elaine's life touched, you are invited to join us for a Celebration of Life at the Saturday Afternoon Club, 430 10th St, Santa Rosa, CA, Friday June 10th at 11:30AM.
