Edward J. Sturdivant, 80, of Eastview, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown.He was born in Grayling, Michigan, to Edward G. and Violet Ray Sturdivant. He was a lumberjack. He loved helping other people and would give anyone the shirt off his back. He liked fishing and camping. He loved dancing with his wife. He was always the life of the party. He was the best father and grandfather ever and will be dearly missed.He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Rose Sturdivant; his father and mother; two sisters, Carol and Kathy; and one brother, Mike.He is survived by two daughters, Serena Rose Sturdivant of Eastview and Amber Violet Bezy of New Albany, Indiana; one son, Dale Edward Sturdivant of Eastview; three sisters, Helen Kelly and Betty Kritzman, both of Grayling, Michigan, and Connie Hess of Henry, Illinois; one brother, Richard Sturdivant of Grayling, Michigan; and two grandsons, Raymond Leipzig and Gabriel Bezy.A graveside service is at 11 a.m. Monday, July 25, at Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens in Cecilia.Condolences may be expressed at manakeefuneralhome.com.
