Edward Alan Ray, 61, passed away on January 14, 2021 surrounded by his wife and children. He was the husband of Tina Standley Ray. They shared twenty-nine wonderful years of love together, twenty-seven as husband and wife.
Born in Erwin, TN, Eddie was the son of Stewart and Lucille Ray. He graduated Berea High School and went on to work with family at Advanced Fire Protection, Inc. as a foreman for over thirty years.
Eddie enjoyed spending time with his wife and children, as well as his grandson, Luke. Eddie also enjoyed hunting, fishing, Tennessee Volunteers, home improvement projects, playing with the dogs, and goofing with his buddies.
Eddie had a profound love for Jesus and his hope and trust was always in the Lord. He will be remembered by all for his laugh, kindness, hard work, love for family and friends, infectious smile no matter the circumstances, and his helpful spirit when others were in need.
Eddie is survived by his loving wife, Tina; daughters, Mary Margaret and Jessica; father-in-love, Ken Standley; son, Tim; grandson, Luke; and dogs, Sadie, Pistol, Paisley, and Daisy. Eddie was the baby of eight and is survived by the following siblings: David Ray (Diana), Wayne Ray (Elaine), Jenny Martin (Red), James Ray (Linda), Janice Strange, and Faye Thomas (Ken). He is also survived by his sisters-in-law, Teresa Tannahill (Richard) and Patti Ervin (Jamie Spahr) as well as many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.
He was predeceased by his parents, Stewart and Lucille; mother-in-love, Mary Standley; brother, Bobby Ray; brothers-in-law, Wayne Standley and Bill Strange; cousin, Katherine Hensley; nephew, Justin Martin; and beloved aunts and uncles.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 29, 2021 at Nine Forks Baptist Church in Easley.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road.
