Edward M. Rupp, 97, of Las Vegas, Nevada, formerly of Dubuque, Iowa, passed away on November 5th, 2022, in Las Vegas.
A private family service will be held with burial in Dubuque Memorial Gardens. Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family.
Edward was born on December 1st, 1924, in Dubuque, Iowa, son of Clarence and Barbara (Spautz) Rupp. He attended Holy Ghost. He was united in marriage to Dolores Papenthien on November 23rd, 1947, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Dubuque. He was employed at the Dubuque Packing Company. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1942 to 1945 and was also a member of Dubuque 700 club. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, and gambling.
Edward is survived by his children Janet Smith, Patricia (David) Beals, Debra McGinnis-Koch, son-in-law Leo Casper, grandchildren Michelle Casper, Charles Casper, David Beals Jr., and James McGinnis, and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Dolores in 2008, daughter Diane Casper in 2012, and siblings Virginia Frommelt-Graff, Jim (Pat) Rupp, Kathleen Rupp, and Paul (Rose) Rupp.
Memorials may be sent to a charity of your choice in Edward's name.
