Edward F Ladouceur, (Eddie) left this world peacefully as he slept on April 28, 2021.
Born on December 31, 1932 to Edward F and Mary (Marie) Ladouceur in Manchester NH.
Eddie attended New London Central School and after graduating he enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served in the Korean War as an airplane mechanic.
While he was stationed in London, England, he met a beautiful, young British girl, Dorothy (Dottie) Bull. It was love at first sight and they soon married Their love story was one of true devotion.
Upon returning home to the US with their daughter Vicky in tow, they settled in the town of New London where their son Gregg was born.
Eddie had many jobs, a master of many things but dearest to his heart was the game of golf and becoming a golf professional.
His incredible patience and calm demeanor made for a special teacher to many and left a great impression on those that learned from him.
Always reaching out for a handshake and smiling at everyone that he met with a few kind words, he touched many.
His legacy is his amazing grandchildren and great grandchildren that he was so very proud of and spoke of with great love.
He leaves his daughter Vicky (Tom) Mills, son Gregg (Rocky Mueller) Ladouceur; Beloved grandchildren, Brett (Bridget) Mills, Jordan (Travis Shumway) Mills, Brianna (JoJo) Paquin and great grandchildren, Teddy, Henry, Ellie, John and Kileigh. His dear sister-in-law, Doreen (Brian)Smith, with their children. Mike (Nicky), Lisa (Tim), nieces and nephews, who reside in England.
A heartfelt thank you to all at Woodlawn, Tammy and her staff of caring and loving people, Drs. Jack Kirk and Steve Jordan. It was a small community of special people.
Many thanks to the VNA/Hospice team for their time spent with their care and support.
Although a quiet man, his powerful presence was always felt. He will be greatly missed by many.
A private burial will take place in the New London Cemetery.
