Edward L. Fabean, 74, of Smithton, died Thursday, June 9, 2022, in Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital, Carroll Township, Washington County. He was born Oct. 18, 1947, in Mt. Pleasant, a son of the late Edward and Enas Orlandi Fabean. He was an electrical engineer for CDMG in Canonsburg, a Vietnam veteran having served in the Air Force as a communications officer, and was a member of the former St. Timothy Catholic Church in Smithton, the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion Post No. 790, of Smithton. He is survived by his wife, Jadwiga Krystyna Wiatr Fabean; son, Micheal Fabean (Tammy); two grandsons, Timothy and Tyler Fabean; brother, Rick Fabean and wife, Janet, of Belle Vernon; and sisters, Kathy Hillen and husband, Jay, and Joann Fabean (Mark Anderson), of Smithton. Family and friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the L. L. BARTHELS FUNERAL HOME INC., Second Street, Smithton. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday in Seven Dolors Catholic Church, Yukon, with Father James Bump as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Timothy Catholic Cemetery, South Huntingdon Township.
