Edward "Ed" Kuper died peacefully on July 10, 2020 in The Villages, Florida at the age of 78 after a long battle with Multiple System Atrophy.
Ed is survived by his wife of 57 years, Ruth Ann; his children, Sam (Diane) Kuper of Centerville, Ohio, Gina (Mike) Pavelec of Johns Creek, Georgia, Nick (Jean) Kuper of Naperville, Illinois and Joe (Phomally) Kuper of Monroe, Ohio. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren: Carson, Lauren, Luke, Nate, Cole, Abby, Sarah, Drew and Eddie. He is preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Anita, his brother Fr. Raymond Kuper, and his daughter Constance Louise.
Ed was born in St. Henry, Indiana. He attended Purdue University and obtained a degree in Metallurgical Engineering. After graduating, Ed worked for Armco Steel Corporation, where he retired after 30 years of service. His children and grandchildren remember him as a loving, kind and community involved father who was a great role model for them all.
Ed was very involved in the church, was an accomplished woodworker, and very involved in charitable giving/leadership, including Habitat for Humanity. He will be remembered as a generous, intelligent, witty and dedicated individual who was passionate about family.
The family would like to thank Elan Spanish Springs, Compassionate Care Hospice, and all of the medical professionals in their efforts, care, and dedication for providing Ed with the best possible quality of life over the last few years.
His memorial service will be held at a later date.
