Mr. FInkle was born April 23, 1943 to Mr. and Mrs. Fred and Gertrude Finkle. He was raised in Belmont along with his sister Marilyn. Ed graduated from the Bordentown Military Institute (BMI) in Bordentown, NJ in 1960 and enjoyed attending BMI alumni association events.

A great supporter of academic athletics, he served as a referee for high school football as well as broadcast basketball games on the radio at Springfield College.
Ed took his enjoyment of travel and cruises to become a travel agent, previously co-owning his own travel agency Village View Travel and later working at Yankee Trails arranging bus and cruise trips for people all over the world..
Animals naturally gravitated to Ed who was sort of a dog whisperer. At any gathering, the dogs would find their way to Ed who was always happy in their company. He will be greatly missed by Barrister, his walking buddy.
An avid golfer, Ed would be happy just being out on the links and his smile would be present even if it were raining or his game was bad. An overall sports fan, Ed cheered on his beloved Boston teams The Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics and Bruins.
Ed is survived by his partner Laura McDermott, his beloved sister Marilyn Reinherz, her husband David and their daughter Lisa Robin, the children he loved and cared for: Heather, Monica, Rachel, Joshua, Kaycie, Jeff, Carrie and Kristen, and his grandchildren: Joey, Noah, Ryley, Samuel, Jack, Vivianna, Taylor, Hannah, Addison, Michael, Ezmeigh, Ellna, Autumn and Brianna.
