Edward W. Broderick, 74, of Somers, entered into eternal rest in the comfort of his home after losing his battle from stage 4 metastatic pancreatic cancer, on Saturday, June 4, 2022.He was born on Nov. 8, 1947, in Springfield. Edward was the son of the late Edward K. Broderick and Vincenza (Aloisa) Broderick. He lived in Enfield for most of his life. He served in the Navy Reserve. Ed was a self-employed Optician and was the proud owner of 20/20 Vision Care Center in Enfield for over 40 years. He was a member of a few gun and rifle clubs in Connecticut and Massachusetts. He enjoyed hunting and recreational shooting at the range, collecting guns of all types, he enjoyed spending time with his friends and family.Edward is survived by his daughter Nicole Morin and husband, Roberto of Newington; two grandchildren Zoey and Riley; a sister Beverly (Broderick) Jensen and husband, Ted of Hilton Head, South Carolina; nephew Christopher Jensen and wife, Erika of Colombia, South Carolina; his godson Nicholas Giaccone; and many other friends and family.Relatives and friends are invited to gather with Edward's family during calling hours on Friday, June 10, 2022, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, 43 Shaker Rd., Enfield. Service will be held Saturday, June 11, 2022, at 10 a.m., at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, Enfield, followed by the burial at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Enfield.
