Born in Seattle on Feb 3, 1951 to Andy and Barbara Gilbert. Died at home in Snoh, Wash on July 2, 2021 after a short but brave battle with pancreatic cancer.
Ed was raised in the Kenmore/ Bothell area, graduating from Inglemoor
High School Class of 1969. During the 1970's Ed travelled to California
finding work in San Jose with the EMT Technology while earning a BA in mechanical engineering. Ed returned to the Bothell area in the 1980's working for himself as a jack of all trades. Car mechanic, sawyer,plumber,electrican and working with his special love of carpentry and wood.
He was a loyal and avid fan of Nascar the Marniers the Seahawks and doing crossword puzzles everyday
Ed will forever be missed for his quiet confidence and intellegience and for being the master of sarcastic wit and humor.
Ed is survived by his sister Suzi Niesen and his wife of 34 years Suzan. Ed is also survived by his pride and joy, his children Samantha and Andrew Gilbert.
