Edna M. Santos, 80, passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2022, after a short illness. She passed away peacefully with her five children by her side. Edna was born July 14, 1941, to Ernest and Hortense Fernandez
Edna is survived by her children, Brenda Villa (Manuel), Kathy Salazar, Patty Nunez (Chris), Eddie Lopez (Aileen), Gloria Rushing (Ken); grandchildren, Christina, Ruben, Amanda, Michael, Rayleen, Mark, Aaron, Ryan, Alyssa, Ashley, Eddie III, Peter, Kenny, Kaitlyn; great grandchildren, Amayah, Austin, Adam, Nate, Aliyah, Caleb, Kynlee, and Gabriel (who will join our family later this year); stepchildren, George Santos Jr. and Jaline Santos. Edna was preceded in death by her loving husband George, just seven short weeks before her passing, her parents and siblings.
Edna enjoyed trips to Las Vegas, camping at the beach, Friday night poker at the kitchen table with country music playing, spending time with her family, and phone calls gossiping with her grandchildren, close friends, and cousins.
Edna will be deeply missed by her children, and grandchildren, especially at family get togethers, which were almost weekly. We will all miss her presence at the head of her kitchen table, just chatting. She will forever be in our heart.
A Rosary will be recited at 10:30am on Thursday, June 16, 2022 with a Funeral Mass to begin at 11:00am at St. Sebastian Church, 235 N 9th St, Santa Paula, CA. Interment to follow at Santa Paula Cemetery, 380 Cemetery Rd, Santa Paula, CA.
