Edna Mae Meeks, 93, of Evansville, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at Heart to Heart Hospice. She was born June 15, 1929 in Freemont, Ohio to the late Leroy Thurston and Myrtle (Wohlmuth) Thurston Keller.
Edna worked in quality control for Lehigh Press for twenty years. Prior to her employment at Lehigh Press she was a beautician for many years and also worked in real estate. She was an avid reader and enjoyed word games and puzzles. Edna was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt.
She is survived by her daughter, Dianna Zullo; sons, Robert (Constance) Meeks and Paul Meeks; grandchildren, Joseph (Christine) Zullo, Aaron Meeks and Carolyn Zullo; great grandchildren, Joseph Zullo, Jr. and Mya Zullo; sister, Barbara “Jean” Turpin; niece, Jennifer (Jon) Luttrull; nephew, Tom (Darla) Turpin; and two great nieces and one great nephew.
In addition to her parents, Edna was preceded in death by her husband in 1990, Charles Meeks; and brothers, Paul Leroy Thurston and Robert Ray Thurston.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday, July 23, 2022 at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Ave., Evansville. A memorial service will begin at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Reverend Tim Garrett officiating.
Private Interment will be at a later date at West Union Cemetery in Gibsonburg, Ohio.
