Edna "Gail" Harris

Edna "Gail" Harris lost her battle with cancer at her home in Purcellville, VA on May 20, 2020 surrounded by her family.

Gail was born on January 25, 1945 to Joseph Anthony Fowler and Edna Fowler.

Gail was a well-known florist in the Purcellville/Leesburg area and served her community for 20 plus years in both the Neersville Fire Department Auxiliary and Community Association. She was a devoted wife and mother and continued to care for and provide for her family throughout her battle with cancer.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel William Harris, brothers, Robert and David Fowler and her sister, Anna Mae Fowler. She is survived by daughters, Valorie Gravatte, Stephanie Johnson and son, Samuel Harris, son in law, Glenn Johnson, grandchildren, Jake and Joe Gravatte, Corey and Thomas Johnson, Rachel, Lindsay and Katelyn Harris and sister, Gloria Elgin.

A memorial service will be held in late August. Memorial contributions can be made in her name to The Virginia Breast Cancer Foundation or Capital Caring Hospice.
