On June 12, 2024, God called Edith Jeanette Scott Lanfear home. Edith was born on March 28, 1934 to Florence and Otis Scott in Beaukiss, Texas. She attended the Church of Christ and was a believer in Jesus Christ. Edith grew up in Elgin, Texas and graduated in Alvin, Texas. She worked for the Industrial Accident Board for the State of Texas.
On February 5, 1955, she married Bobbie Lanfear and Together they raised two boys, Karry and Russell.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Bobbie Lanfear; brothers, Leeray and Clyde Scott; sister, Dorothy Parker Gault.
Edith is survived by her sons, Karry Lanfear and his wife Lori, and Russell Lanfear; grandchildren, Micheal Wayne, Katherine, Cheyanne, Kari Sue (husband, Trey), Jeffrey Robert (wife, Victoria); great grandchildren, Lindsay, Kayla, Amelia, Hunter, Fisher, Remington, Russell, and Matthew; along with many family members and friends including, Pam and Jeremy Turner and the entire staff at Pafford Place, as well as so many other friends that she made throughout her long blessed life.
A memorial visitation is planned for 2:00 p.m., to 4:00 p.m., Saturday, June 29, 2024 at Jenkins Funeral Home. A private inurnment is planned for a later date.
Cremation arrangements under the care of Jenkins Funeral Home, Burnet, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Mrs. Lanfear's memory to East Lake Buchanan Volunteer Fire Department, Dell's Children's Hospital, or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
