Earle David Copenhaver, 65, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on July 22, 2022. He was born on January 20, 1957 and was a 1975 graduate of Lebanon High School. Earle entered the United States Air Force and earned the rank of Master Sergeant over his honorable 24 year career. After retiring from the Air Force, Earle worked 18 years for the VA Hospital and retired in January of this year.
He enjoyed football and was an avid Colts fan. Earle's life was defined by his service to others and his love of family, friends and his three cats.
Earle leaves behind to cherish his memory five siblings, Sheryl (Stephen) Hungate of Margate, FL; Leeann Barnes of Lebanon, IN; Suzann (Rodney) Pratt of Lebanon, IN; Dawn (John) Frye of Waynetown, IN; and Kevin Copenhaver of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; 11 nieces and nephews; 14 great-nieces and nephews; his three beloved cats; and his best friend since childhood, Douglas Marvin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilmer and Edna Copenhaver.
Inurnment services will be held at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Veterans Administration or VA Hospital.
