Funeral services for Earl Alton Marshall, 85, of Lufkin will be held Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services with military honors will follow in the Old Palestine Cemetery in Alto.
Mr. Marshall was born February 17, 1938 in Alto, Texas to the late Ruby Pearl (Smith) and Henry Alton Marshall, and died Thursday, February 8, 2024 at his residence.
Earl grew up in Alto and resided most of his life in Lufkin. He owned and operated Marshall AC, Heating and Appliances. Earl loved his children and worked hard to provide for his family throughout the years. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was proud to have served his country in the United States Marine Corps.
Survivors include his daughters, Rhonda Kennedy, Tammy Raley and husband Troy "Pepper", all of Lufkin; grandchildren, Elisa Kennedy, Robert Kyle Marshall, Cody Kennedy, Michael Turner, Amber Stephenson, Marci Wade, Justin Seale; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers, Harold Marshall of Lufkin, and Jesse Marshall of Mississippi; along with numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Trudy Marshall; son and daughter-in-law, Robert Earl and Mary Marshall; daughter, Anita Maddux; and grandsons, Grady Glen Marshall and Ronnie Modisette.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
