Earl E. Duff, Sr., 76, passed away Sunday, October 24, 2021 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center after a short illness.
He was born in Lebanon, NH on September 30, 1945 the son of Earl W. and Kathryn (Berry) Duff. Mr. Duff attended Lebanon schools and was a lifelong resident of the Upper Valley. He was honorably discharged from the US Amy after 6 years of service before beginning his career at Dartmouth College where he retired after 25 years.
He is survived by his former spouse of 33 years, Eva Duff, and their three children: Earl Duff, Jr. and his spouse Krissey; Tami Duff and her spouse Karen both of Grantham, NH, and Lucas Medina-Duff and his spouse Paige of Clearwater, FL. His brother, Rodney Duff and his spouse Pam of Lebanon, NH. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Earl was predeceased by his parents, Earl W. and Kathryn, and three sisters, Katherine Grose, Caroline Shirlock, and Marilyn Harrington
Calling hours will be held at Newton-Bartlett Funeral Home in Newport, NH on Thursday from 5-7pm. Burial services will follow on Friday at 11am at the West Lebanon Cemetery.
You never said you were leaving, you never said goodbye, and you were gone before we knew it and only God knows why. In life we loved you dearly and death we love you still. In my heart I hold a place that only you can fill. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn't go alone. You took a piece of us with you when God called you home.
