E. W. Buck, of Mount Pleasant, passed away on September 17, 2019 in Tyler, Texas at the age of 89. He was born on November 27, 1930 to Dock Buck and Ruby Still Buck in Fendley, Arkansas.
He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Korean Conflict; he was a barber for many years and owned Nortex Rentals and Big K Mobile Homes; and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Mount Pleasant.
E. W. is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Jana and Bruce Don Hedrick; son and daughter-in-law, Larry Walter and Joann Buck; son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Karen Buck; daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Gary Brown; grandchildren, Jena Hedrick, Leigh Hedrick, Leanne Burck, Coleman Buck, Morgan Buck, Samantha Buck, Abigail Buck, Randy and Miranda Brown, and Candy Brown; and great grandchildren, Zane Walker, Brody Brown, and Mayleigh Brown. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Joyce Buck; and 7 siblings.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Bates-Cooper-Sloan Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, with a visitation being held an hour prior to the funeral at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Danville Cemetery in Kilgore, Texas at 4:30 PM on Saturday, September 21, 2019.
