E. Gayle Williams, a beloved mamaw, mom, and selfless caretaker, passed away peacefully at her home in Paris Crossing, Indiana, on Thursday, January 29, 2026, surrounded by her family who were singing "Jesus Loves Me." She was 77 years old.
Born on July 29, 1948, in Scottsburg, Indiana, Gayle was the daughter of William E. and Fleta (Dart) Royalty. She graduated from Seymour High School with the Class of 1966.
Early in her career, Gayle worked as a manager at a TA truck stop, and later she was employed at Pro-Form Plastics and Versatech factories. On September 2, 2019, she married Larry Allen Williams, who preceded her in death on December 14, 2024.
Gayle was a member of Coffee Creek Christian Church and also attended First Marion Baptist Church. She cherished her involvement with the International Harvester Tractor Club in Jennings County.
Gayle loved spending time with her friends and family, tending to her flower garden, playing games, working puzzles, and relaxing on the back porch overlooking the pond while watching her beloved "fur babies."
Known for her loving, independent, and yes?stubborn?spirit, Gayle was truly one of a kind. She will be remembered as a selfless caretaker who poured her heart into those she loved, especially as a cherished mamaw and mom.

Washington, KY, Linda (Rob) Nicosia of Crothersville, IN, and Missy Engle of Paris Crossing, IN; 11 grandchildren: Billy, Jimmy, Eli, Jessica, Wendy, Elsie, Ashley, Brian Cody, Trista, Brittany, and Brandon; 23 great-grandchildren; and four siblings: Linda Hatton, Rhenita (Ronald) Cain, Marty (Jerry) Fluharty, and Brad J.
