Dylan Thomas Van't Land (5/31/95 - 2/2/21) son of Jon Van't Land and Sandra Peck left this world after fighting a battle with Lymphoma and Leukemia over the past three years.
Oh Dylan... where to start. You were stubborn, heaven forbid if anyone should tell you what you should do, and you never learned how to clean up your apartment. Yet you looked out for all of us smaller people, and despite a sometimes crusty outer shell you had a heart as big as your stature inside. Those whom you let in had the pleasure of seeing the big teddy bear inside.
You've left us with so many memories from the many various objects you stuck up your nose as a child (others will have to ask for those stories, there are several), to your many shenanigans with your landscaping crew at Tech, and your many summers spent at camp. From a love of sci-fi (and frequent movie quotes), to screaming "nat 20!". From that big laugh shared with friends and family, to ... "just because you're Batman". From your love for that spunky little cat, to the way you were never embarrassed to give your mama a hug in public (or any of us for that matter). From bringing so many of us together these past few years to fight this battle with you and for you, to missing you so much already. We love you big guy, you've left behind some mighty big shoes to fill. Those you left here to pass on your memory are your parents, siblings, stepsiblings, nieces, nephews, and too many friends to count.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
