Dwight Tolbert

Morris "Dwight" Tolbert, age 89, of Rome, Georgia, sadly passed away on November 1, 2025, at a local hospital.

Dwight was born in Rome, Georgia on October 23, 1936, to the late Clemons W. Tolbert and Pearl Alred Tolbert. In addition to his parents, Dwight is also preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.

Survivors include his loving wife of 68 years, Linda M. Tolbert; his children, Lisa T. Bishop (David) and Stephen D. Tolbert; his grandchildren, Lauren Hamrick (Billy), Spencer Tolbert (Mary Margaret); and Morgan Powell (Cody); three great-grandchildren; and a special niece, Cynthia T. Chester.

Dwight graduated from Rome High School. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Navy where he proudly served his country for 8 years. He later retired from General Electric.

A memorial service will be held for Dwight on Monday, November 10, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity by the River. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 p.m. until service time.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Trinity by the River.
