Dwain "DOC" Odell Crisman, 84, of Plano, TX passed away surrounded by loved ones on December 23, 2021, after a brief illness.
He was born July 30, 1937 in Elida, New Mexico but grew up in a small west Texas town east of Newlin, graduating from Estelline High school. Soon after finding his way to the Dallas area.
Truly a man of his generation, sometimes grave and immovable, other times soft and humorous, but always holding a deep and abiding love for his family. He loved his church brethren almost as much and was an exemplary servant leader for much of his life. It's difficult to travel anywhere he'd been without someone asking about DOC and how he always made them feel.
He was preceded in death by his parents John Woodrow and Odessa Mae (Altman) Crisman. He is survived by his wife of 57 years Wanda (Moore); his sister Linda Morrison; his four children Shannon, Dirk, Lynette, and Lisa; his seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service is planned for the end of January. Information can be requested at [email protected]
