Drewena Knighton, born January 24, 1929, passed February 26, 2022. She was predeceased by husband Grady, parents Walter and Vesta Roddy, sister Helen Tanks, brothers McKeithen and R. P. Roddy, son Marvin Knighton.
Survived by sons Grady Lewis and Wayne Keith Knighton, James Powell Knighton, sisters Katheline Tate, Carroll (Robert) Henry, and brother Larry Roddy. Grandchildren, Drewena Knighton, Robert (Shelly) Knighton, and Rebecca (Knighton) (Mark) Rockhill. 12 great grandchildren and 2 great- great, grandchildren. Aunt, Elaine Roddy Simpson, Decatur, GA., nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Drewena was a member of the Maryville Seventh Day Adventist Church, where she was much loved and will be missed. She worked for the United States Postal Service for 20 years in New York City. Returning to Alcoa for her retirement. She served as a volunteer at Blount Memorial Hospital and grandparents program at Fort Craig School. A charter member of Charles M. Hall Alumni Association.
Memorial Service for her at 1:00 p.m. March 11, 2022, at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 2921 Sevierville Road Maryville.
Graveside service will be held Friday March 11, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. at Sherwood Gardens, Alcoa. Final arrangements entrusted to Foothills Funeral Home, Maryville. www.foothillsfh.com
