Dr. Margaret "Marge" Kuypers, 85, of Venice FL, passed away on June 1st, 2021 due to kidney failure following surgery.
A service will be held at Sarasota National Cemetery on Friday, November 26, 2021 at 9:30am. Pastor Bob Haley of the Christ United Methodist Church will be presiding. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the National Cremation and Burial Society.
Marge was born in Annapolis, MD on August 8, 1935. She graduated from Annapolis HS and continued on to receive a Bachelor's degree from Towson University, a Master's Degree from George Washington University, and a Doctorate degree in Education from Lehigh University. Marge was married to Rene Kuypers on August 17, 1957; they were married 62 years. She worked in the Hatboro Horsham (Pennsylvania) school district for over 25 years. First as a teacher, then elementary school principal, and finally as assistant superintendent.
She enjoyed reading, traveling, and spending her retirement with her husband at Venice Golf & CC. She enjoyed attending Penn State Football games, and she loved watching her grandchildren play sports while in town. She was also actively involved in the church.
Marge is survived by her, son Scott; daughter-in-law, Theresa; and grandchildren, Michael, Meghan, and Tommy. Marge is preceded in death by her husband, Rene, who passed away in 2019.
