Dr. Gene Jack Park passed away at the age of 93. He was born in San Antonio, Texas to his late parents Lula Bolin and Oran Jack Park. Gene was preceded in death by his parents and brother. In 1942, Gene graduated from the University of Texas in Austin with a Doctorate Degree in Chemistry. After graduating, he worked at Baylor Hospital in Dallas researching a cure for cancer. Later on, he taught at Bryan Adams High School and taught evening classes at Eastfield Junior College for 33 years and then retired. Gene is survived by his wife of 71 years of marriage, Estella Park, his niece Christine Park, his son Jerry Jack Park, and his 3 daughters Pamela Jean Bueno, Tina Jene Gonzalez, Corinna Jeanne Carter. His grandchildren, Veronica Tamez, Christopher Park, Jacqueline Park, Patrick Gonzalez, Jean?t Bradley, Jason Scales, Keeland Scales, Austin Gonzalez, Monica Contreras, Andrea Carter, 16 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild due in September. A visitation for Dr. Park will be held Thursday, August 28, 2022, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Calvary Hill Cemetery North Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM. An committal will occur at 12 PM at. In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to one of the many organizations that were dear to Dr. Park, St. Puis X (https://spxdallas.org/support-st-pius-x-parish ), Animal Human Society and Cancer Research.
