COSTNER FUNERAL HOME
Dr. Edward Dewitt Sadler, Jr., an accomplished and visionary leader and champion for education, departed this life on Thursday, August 16, 2018 in Gastonia, NC. Dr. Sadler, a community icon, will be most remembered for his love of children and public education. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Dewitt Sadler, Sr. and Mildred Jackson Sadler, brother, Rev. John F. Sadler, Sr. and son, Edward Dewitt (Trey) Sadler, III. He is survived by, wife, Thomasina Lindsay Sadler, daughter, Kelli Sadler and daughter-in-law, April Celeste Sadler. The funeral service will
be Thursday, August 23, 2018 at St. Stephens AME Zion Church, Gastonia at 1:00 pm. The visitation will be Wednesday
from 5:00 until 8:00 pm at St. Stephens AME Zion. Costner Funeral Home is handling the funeral arrangements.
