Doyle G. Whitlock 58 of Bell Gardens , Calif, died in Saturday Jan 17. in a Chickasha Okla hospital. Formerly of Alma Ar, he was born in June 17, 1911 in Crawford co Ar the son of N.R. and Addie (Johnston) Whitlock He was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors are his three daughters Mrs Jacqueline Meadows of Whittier Calif, Mrs Darla Jo Horn of San Diego Calif, and Mrs Jillda Buchalla of Van Buren Ar , a brother Ayers Whitlock of Alma and four sisters Mrs Daisy Hester of Conway, Mrs Josie Thresher and Mrs Hazel Massey both of Fort Smith Ar and Mrs Ella Jackson of Alexandria Indiana, and seven grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 10 am Thursday at the First Baptist Church in Alma. Edward Smith will be officiating minister. Burial will be in the Fort Smith National Cemetery will be directed by Edwards Funeral Home.Casket Bearers will be Buddy Whitlock , Benny Blevins, Jim Frank Massey, Jerry Whitlock, Rudolph Winborn, and Hershel Whitlock. Honorary pallbearers will be Dan Stanley, Boyd Rye, Bud Buskirk, J.J. Lansdale, Reeves Adams, Rudy Vaughn, Malcolm Gray and Harold Reddick
