Doyle Millard Walden, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2024, in Odessa, Texas. Born on February 5, 1939, Doyle's life was a testament to the values of love, courage, and selflessness that he embodied throughout his 85 years.
Doyle's early years were shaped by the loving guidance of his parents, Charles and Dorothy Walden, along with the camaraderie of his brother Dennis Walden, who preceded him in death. The strong family ties he developed in his youth laid the foundation for the incredible devotion he would show to his own family in the years to come.
A proud Veteran, Doyle served his country with honor, first in the National Guard and then in the Army, after his service he pursued a career in welding and became a welding inspector, until he retired. His love for learning and interest in history were evident in his fondness for war documentaries, which captivated his imagination and fueled his conversations.
Doyle's legacy is carried on by his beloved wife, Shirley Walden, who stood by him through life's many chapters. David and Billy Joe Walden his two two sons, who brought joy and pride to Doyle's life. His role as a grandfather to Travis, Tonya, LaTiesha, and EW, as well as to his numerous great and great-great-grandchildren, was one he cherished deeply. Doyle's storytelling was a gift to his family, weaving tales that connected generations and captured the hearts of both young and old.
Doyle's influence extended beyond his immediate family, as he was loved by many more great and great-great-grandchildren, whose lives he touched with his wisdom and kindness. The stories he shared with them will live on as cherished narratives of a life well-lived.
As we say goodbye to Doyle Millard Walden, we reflect on a life marked by unwavering love, courage in the face of adversity, and selfless dedication to family and friends. His memory will continue to inspire and guide those who were fortunate enough to know him.
Visitation for Doyle will begin at 12:30 pm, on Friday, November 8, 2024 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. A Funeral Service will be held at 3:30 pm, on Friday, November 8th, 2024 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
