Douglas Lawrence Payne, 43, of Williamsburg, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, September 6th, at the Baptist Health Corbin. Douglas was born in Mt. Vernon, KY on May 19, 1979, a son of Larry and Margaret Sheila (Frith) Payne. He had worked as a security guard for Storm Security. Douglas was a great mechanic and enjoyed working on lawn mowers. He loved nature and enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.
Survivors Include his Parents, Larry & Margaret Payne of Williamsburg; Sister, Vanessa & Husband Leslie Murray of Williamsburg; Brother, John Payne of Georgetown; Nieces, Taylor & Aubree Hinkle; Great Nephews, Easton & Cannon Brooks; Several Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and many special friends also survive.
He was preceded in death by his beloved pet, Shih Tzu, Hunter.
Active pallbearers Include, Will Smith, Less Murray, Kris Frith, Harley Taylor, Stanley Coomer, Theron Gray, David Brewer and Steven Brewer. Honorary Pallbearers are Vanessa Murray & Loretta Pearson.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, September 10th at McKnight Funeral Home with Ministers, Bro. Mike Addison, Eddie Owens & Leroy Smith. Burial will follow at the Ephesus Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be held prior to the funeral beginning at 11:00 AM on Saturday at McKnight Funeral Home.
