76, of Spring Hill, Fl., born May 5, 1945 in Battle Creek, Mi., passed away on May 5, 2021, at the HPH Care Center in Brooksville with his family by his side. He was the son of Dorothy Skinner Bishop and Harold Skinner of Battle Creek, Mi. He spent 16 years in the Air Force stationed in California and Montana. He worked on the Minuteman 65 missiles. After leaving the military he worked at Battle Creek VAMC and James A. Haley VAMC from which he retired in 1994 as Supervisor, General Supply Processing and Distribution. He married his wife, Shirley, in 1994 Survivors include his wife; Daughters Lorraine Sacca and Kimberly (Jesse) Podvinl; Step-Son, Gregory (Joann) Baroody; sister, Louise (George) Logan; brother, Gordon (Donna) Skinner, and his first wife, Sandra Garten; 13 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild, many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Dorothy and Harold and his son Dorwin (Jay) Skinner. He was a member of the Hernando Historical Society and the Withlacoochee Rockhounds prior to his declining health. His Celebration of Life service will be held at Nature Coast Family Fellowship Church in New Port Richey, May 15, 2021 at 11:00 AM. Private family Interment will be held at Grace Memorial Gardens. Donations in his memory may be made to NCFF Church Building Fund, Lung Association or Charity of your choice. Dorwin's passing leaves a large hole in all our hearts.
