Dorothy K. Seymour

Dorothy K. Seymour (n?e Kronenberg), a proud veteran's widow, passed away on 11/11, at the age of 96. Born in St. Louis Missouri, Dorothy was a resident of Englewood for more than 40 years. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert B. Seymour in 1989. She is survived by five children, Susan Westcott (Jim), Steve, Sally, Scott, and Sandy Voelkel (Chuck); four grandchildren Alison Westcott, Cassie (Voelkel) Ward (Chris), Chrissie (Voelkel) Cochran (Kyle), and Chuck Voelkel III; five great-grandchildren Layne and Bryson Ward; and Hank, Haislee and Harvey Cochran. She was an active and involved member of the Foxwood community for 30 years, and walked 3 miles around the neighborhood almost every day. She enjoyed cruising and traveled all over the world. She was also an avid reader and an ace at the Jumbles, Cryptoquip, and Wheel of Fortune. Visitation will be Thursday, November 17 at Englewood Community Funeral Home, 2 to 5 PM. Funeral mass Friday at 10 AM at Saint Raphael Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, donations to Sarasota Guide Dogs or Suncoast Humane Society.
