Dorothy M. Schuster
Help us celebrate Dorothy! Please share your stories and photos, and invite others who remember Dorothy.
On a cold and snowy January 30, 1930, Dorothy M. Schuster delivered by a midwife at her parents' home in Rome, NY. She was the youngest daughter of Philip and Lily Blanche (Deeley) Schuster. She was fortunate enough to live for 90 years until Monday, August 3, 2020, when she quietly slipped away in the wee hours of a warm summer night at her daughter and son-in-law, Anna and Harold Johnson's home in Lee Center. They were her devoted and compassionate caregivers for many years. She will be sorely missed, especially her mischievous wit.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Dorothy's memory may be made to the Abraham House of Rome or the Jervis Public Library as she loved to read.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome.
