On November 17, 2022, around 3:00pm, Dorothy Marion Permar Self, the last of the five (5) children of Reverend John Maxwell & Iva Ellen DeYarmin PerMar passed from this life to the next. Survived by daughters Deborah E Alexander (Lilburn, GA), Karen S Ball (Winston Salem, NC), Amanda C Self (Hoover, AL) and Marian N Savenko (Burlington, NC) as well as many grands, great grands and great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Dorothy graduated from Greensboro College in Greensboro, NC, married Neal A Self, had five children, and moved to Atlanta, GA around 1970 as a Real Estate Broker. Dorothy has lived with eldest daughter since 2014 and suffered with Dementia horribly until Nov. 17, 2022. Our family is extremely grateful to Inspire Hospice 6650 Sugarloaf Parkway, Duluth, GA 30097. Please make any donation in lieu of flowers to Inspire Hospice in honor and memory of Dorothy P Self.
