Dorothy I. Lajoie, 84, of Manchester, NH, died July 22, 2021, at her home, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born in Manchester, NH on August 25, 1936, she was the daughter of Donat and Mary Jane (Poisson) Dumont. She was a lifelong resident of the Queen City.
Until her retirement, she was an office assistant with Paul E. Bourque Company.
Devoted to her faith, she was a communicant of Saint Anthony Church.
Dorothy enjoyed collecting napkins, car rides, traveling, and going to the Rockingham Racetrack. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose kindness and heart knew no boundaries. Dorothy will be remembered for her kind, selfless ways as well as her outgoing personality. She will be deeply missed and her memory held dear by her family.
She was married to her beloved husband of sixty-four years, Frederick "Sonny" J. Lajoie. He died November 24, 2018. She was also predeceased by two sisters, Pauline and Violet; and two brothers, Guy and Ronald.
Family members include her three daughters, twins, Darlene Mazalewski and her husband, Walter, of Raymond and Doreen O'Connell and her husband, Eric, of Candia; and Debra Elliott and her husband, Jon, of Manchester; four grandchildren, Keith, Mariah, Eric, and Brianna; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were private.
Burial took place in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Manchester, NH.
