Dorothy "Dot" Cook, 83, of Mineola, Texas returned to her heavenly home on January 20, 2022.
Dorothy was born on January 22, 1938 to her parents Huxley T. and Jewell (Conaway) Isham in Tyler, Texas. She grew up in the Tyler area most of her life, until 1978 when she moved to Mineola, Texas. Dot worked at Kendons, a sewing and home interior store, in Winnsboro for 17 years until she retired. In 1987 Dot married her true love Glenn Cook at Eastpoint Baptist Church, and they were married 35 wonderful years until her passing. She loved puzzles; working in the flower garden; sitting on the porch; dogs and her family.
She is welcomed in heaven by her parents Huxley and Jewell Isham; daughter Cindy Craft; brothers Douglas "Buck" Isham and Preston Isham; sister Mildred Northcut; and granddaughter Tonya Fleece.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband Glenn Cook; children Vicki Pike and partner Jack Goodwin; step-children Glenda Mink and husband Ed of Whitehouse, Debby Beall and husband Tommy of Brownsboro, Steve Cook of Mineola; sister Margaret Wages of Waco; grandchildren Chad Pike, Cristy Sechrist, Stacy Craft, Jamie Craft; step-grandchildren Glenn Mink, Shelby Carter, Lore Cruce, Julie Garner, Josh Cook; 14 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; several nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
