Dorothy Burleson Killough, 84, died Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was born in Shannon, February 23, 1936 to Joseph and Mary White. Dorothy enjoyed sewing in her younger years and often sewed outfits for her children. She also enjoyed watching wrestling and westerns and playing Bingo. She was Baptist in faith.
Survivors include her daughter, Debbie Davidson and her husband, Paul of Booneville; son, Kenneth Burleson of Tupelo; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and sister, Jo Nell Henderson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, James "Jimmy" Weaver Burleson and Charles David Burleson; two sisters, Margaret Barnes and Vanola White.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. until service time Friday, August 7, 2020 at W.E. Pegues, Tupelo.
Services honoring her life will be 11 a.m. Friday, August 7, 2020 at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Rev. Neal Ramage officiating. A private graveside service will follow in Doty Chapel Cemetery.
