Dorothy F. Birky, 93, of Cascade, passed away Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Shady Rest Home in Cascade. Private graveside service will be held at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will take place at 1:30 pm, Sunday, September 12, 2021 at Community of Christ Church in Hiawatha. Survivors include a son Harvey (Josephine) Birky, of Red Oak, Iowa, daughters Diane (George) Barber, of Cascade, Sandy (Ed) Gau, of Dubuque, nine grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Harold.
Dorothy was born July 1, 1928 in Cedar Rapids to Ted and Laurine Clark. She married Harold Birky on June 10, 1948 in Cedar Rapids. Dorothy was an administrative assistant was 22 years for John S.
