And She Will Rest Until The Redeemer Returns at Grace Hill Cemetery
Dorothy came to us on January 17, 1925, born to Perry Williams and Alluter Jones in Clarksville, Red River County, Texas. She was the matriarch of the family and the Northcutt Heights community. She met and married James Velton Bell Sr. in January 1946. She worked for the Wheeler Family greater than 41 years, raising and caring for her daughters, Sally Wheeler Magee and Nancy Wheeler Heller, as if they were her own, whom she dearly loved.
Dorothy was the last living Organizing member of Growing Valley Baptist Church, where she served as Deaconess, church clerk, Financial Secretary, Choir member, BTU Secretary, usher member, Mission President, and, at the present time, was President Emeritus. Dorothy served as President of Northside Elementary School, Mary C Womack band booster club secretary, Den mother for the Cub Scouts, Little League football, and Baseball Booster Club.
However, on Sunday, October 12, 2025, Dorothy received a call from her Heavenly Father to come home, and she responded.
Dorothy will forever be in the minds and hearts of her Daughter, Velma Bell Clay, Sons, Vincenzo A."Vince" Williams, James V.Bell Jr., Clifford L. Bell Sr., Bobby G.Bell Sr., and Kenneth L.Bell Sr.
Visitation today from 2 pm until 7 pm at Growing Valley Baptist Church.
