Dorothy Mae Ashlock, 90, of North Charleston, SC, widow of Dave Ashlock entered into eternal rest Friday, January 14, 2022. Her graveside funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm at Fern Hill Cemetery, in Menlo, WA on Saturday, January 22, 2022. The family will receive friends that morning at Stoller's Mortuary in Raymond, WA from 9:00 am to 11:00 am.
Dorothy was born May 16, 1931 in Longview, WA, daughter of the late Herbert Crosskill and Etta Root Crosskill. She was a loving mother to many children, grandchildren and great grandchildren while being an excellent homemaker. Dorothy loved her family (especially those grandchildren!) and would cook meals every day for whomever would show up to eat. She enjoyed crocheting, and made many baby blankets for the Pregnancy Center. She loved to go camping with her family, enjoyed gardening and caring for her flowers. She was also a permanent fixture at the ball field and kept scores and stats for the summer league baseball teams. Dorothy was also a faithful member of JICC on James Island and Lebam Community Church in Lebam, WA.
She is survived by her daughters, Sandi Barrows, Pat Caudill and Roberta Taylor (Curtis); her sons, Robert Martin (Marci), William Martin, Dan Ashlock (Gill), Roger Ashlock (Tonya), Terry Ashlock, David Ashlock, Tom Ashlock and Chuck Ashlock; daughter-in-law, Shellie Johnson; twenty-four grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and her fur baby, Doodles. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Mary Welsh and son, Tom Martin.
