Doris A. (Lanseigne) Cypher (86) of Portsmouth, New Hampshire passed away after a long but strong struggle with Dementia on October 11, 2021. She was born to Robert Lanseigne and Eva (Larochelle) Lanseigne on July 13, 1935. Doris was raised in Amesbury, Massachusetts and attended the Amesbury school system. On her 15th birthday (71 years ago), she met the love of her life, Ronald E. Cypher and married him three years later on November 21, 1953. Doris and Ron started their own successful Submarine Sandwich business out of their home in Amesbury and creatively named it "Rondos." Throughout her life she worked at CBS Hytron, Newton Memorial School lunch program as a master baker, Burnham Cleaners as an outstanding seamstress, and Newton Junction Variety Store, but more importantly, she was a domestic engineer raising four children, and supporting their every sporting event, school function, and helping them to become successful at whatever they chose to be.
Doris loved her family above all else. She loved to bake and was called upon every year to supply her world-famous meat pies for the annual Lanseigne Christmas Eve gathering. She loved bowling, bingo, sewing, crafting, knitting, crocheting, and spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren and extended family at the Cypher family pool in Newton Jct, NH.
