Dora E. Keefer, 88, of Scullton, passed on June 5, 2020 at UPMC Somerset Hospital. Born July 6, 1931 in Middlecreek Twp., she was a daughter of the late George and Idella (Geary) Ansell. She is also preceded in death by her husband George Keefer in 2017 and sister Kathryn Ansell. Dora is survived by her children the Reverend Samuel Keefer and wife Tammy of Clymer, Jodi Knieriem and husband Brian of Rice, VA, and Greg Keefer and wife Bonnie of Scullton; grandchildren Jeremy Knieriem (Beth), Jared Knieriem (Angela), John Knieriem (Tiffany), and Derrick, Tanner, Kaitlyn, and Ethan Keefer; great-grandchildren Briana, Rylea, Aubriella, Lily, Linsey, and Aryana; brother-in-law Harry "Abe" Keefer; siblings Lloyd Ansell (Esther), Dorothy Hodgkiss (Eric), Ruth Ann Eller, Emerson Ansell (Carmella), Calvin Ansell, Esther Pyle (Gary), Jerry Ansell, and Dave Ansell (Sue); and numerous nieces and nephews. Dora was a member of Scullton Alliance Church. She loved to travel, cook, sew, and visit with friends, but she mainly enjoyed spending time with her family. She was known for "running the wheels off the vacuum cleaner" every day. Most of all, Dora was a very caring person and always looking to be of service to others. Friends will be received from 2-8 P.M. Monday at MILLER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, SOMERSET. A service will be held at 1 P.M. Tuesday at the Somerset Alliance Church with an hour of visitation prior to the service. Pastor Boyd Race will officiate. Due to COVID - 19, masks will be required for entry at both sites.
