Dora Carreto, beloved mother, wife, daughter, sister, niece and friend, made her journey to be with the Lord Friday, May 1st, 2020.
Dora was a brilliant woman filled with unconditional love, compassion for those in need and empathy for those going through difficult times. She simply exuded love. One thing certain about Dora was her love for life and adoration for her family and friends. Knowing first hand what loss and struggle was, she always found a way to smile and comfort those around her. From making you laugh, cooking delicious food, or sending inspirational messages; Dora always wanted to remove other's suffering. Dora was an amazing cook. She would love to gather everyone together and she knew that food always brought people together. It was her gift to all. She had a contagious laugh and radiant smile. She was a strong woman of faith and a true ambassador of Jesus Christ. She will be eternally loved and remembered by her loving family and friends.
Dora is survived by her husband Jaime Galeana, her daughter Aliyah Carreto, her mother Rosa Rivera, her brothers Frank Carreto Sr. and Oscar Rivera.
Dora's nieces are Evelyn Vasquez, Sharelyn Carreto, Savanah Carreto, Francine Carreto, Franlynn Carreto, Rosalynn Carreto, Julissa Rivera, and Camila Rivera.
Dora's nephews are Frankie Carreto Jr. and Alessandro Rivera.
Dora's great nephews are Josiah Juarez, Caiden Vasquez and Ezequiel Mendez.
Due to Ventura County's COVID-19 guidelines, visitation is limited to no more than 5 people at one time from 9:00am to 11:00am on Saturday, May 9th, 2020 at the Garcia Mortuary Chapel, 629 South A Street in Oxnard. A livestream of Dora's service will be available at 11:00am at kadytv.net.
