Donovan Wilson Riley, Sr. passed away on August 18, 2022, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Born in Eau Claire, Wisconsin on February 14, 1937, to parents Margaret Mary O'Brien and Gordon Wilson Riley, he is survived by his partner Candice Owley; children Donovan Wilson (Jamie) Riley Jr, Robert James (Melissa) Riley, Claire Margaret (Richard) Riley, and Margaret "Peggy" Riley-Dooley; stepdaughter Melissa Curran; as well as sixteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Donovan was a world traveler, a lifelong learner with the heart of a teacher, and a fierce advocate for democratic ideals.
Private family graveside service in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, September 11th from 2pm-5pm at St. Paul Fish Company, 6200 W. Mequon Rd., Mequon, Wisconsin 52092.
