Donna Uhl (Sarli) born June 17th 1951 in Bay Ridge, NY to Robert (Bob) and Muriel Sarli passed away on June 13th, 2022.
She was given the gift of life (37,336,633 minutes on this earth to be exact) but unfortunately, she had to give it back. She courageously fought ovarian cancer on and off for over 10 years but unfortunately lost the battle.
The great news is her faith was strong and she passed in peace surrounded by her family.
Her positive attitude while going through several surgeries and rounds of chemotherapy over the years was an inspiration to many. Her amazingly strong spirit, ability to see the good in people, talent for finding the bright side of any situation will be a lesson few will forget.
Donna was a wonderful cook, so many memories of large family get togethers surrounding a dinner table with amazing food. It didn't matter the time of day, if you came over to her house you'd get the "Are you hungry? You should eat!!, let me fix you something". She was the backbone and glue that held the family together.
After growing up in New York, marrying and having two children, the family moved to Texas in 1990. She truly enjoyed Texas and even after retiring to Florida always talked about moving back. A daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend will be missed by many.
She is survived by her Mother-in-law, Gloria; husband of 50 years, Warren; sons, Thomas and Matthew; as well as granddaughter, Jade.
