Donna Schuenke, age 87, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 surrounded by family.
Funeral services will be held at Fourth Avenue United Methodist Church, Faribault on Monday, March 3, 2025 at11:00 a.m. with the Reverend Amy Jo Bur officiating. Interment will be at Meadow Ridge Memorial Park, Faribault at a later date.
Visitation will be at Boldt Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Faribault on Sunday, March 2, 2025 from 3:00-6:00 p.m. and at the church for one hour prior to the service on Monday.
Donna was the daughter and youngest child to Elmer and Mary Young, born on April 8th, 1937 in Faribault. She attended a one room schoolhouse through the 4th grade and graduated from Faribault High School, class of 1955. On July 5th, 1958, she was united in marriage to Louis Schuenke of Faribault until his passing on December 21, 1999. On April 11th, 2013 she was united in marriage to Ronn Kotsmith of Faribault who was her constant companion until her passing. Donna was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend who enjoyed an active life until the end. She was an avid bowler, loved her Minnesota Twins, traveling and playing cards. She was a lifelong member of Fourth Avenue United Methodist Church in Faribault and worked for 43 years at Wells Fargo.
She is survived by her husband of 11 years, Ronn Kotsmith of Faribault, MN: by her sons, Scott (Denise) Schuenke of Woodbury, MN and their children, Alex, Elise, Ashley and Jason, and great grandchildren, Kylee, Aiden, Arlo and Aspen; Doug (Cindy) Schuenke of Stillwater, MN and children Katie and Ryan; by her sisters-in-law Nita Schuenke of Red Wing and Mary Ann Young of Faribault, MN and by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many long and loyal friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Louis Schuenke, her parents, brothers Harold (Fonda) Young, Earl Young, sister Mildred (Hugh) Leslie.
