Donna R. Jensen, 88, of Aberdeen, SD, passed away Sunday, October 31, 2021 at her residence.
Mass of Christian burial is 10:30 a.m., Friday, November 5, 2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Aberdeen, with Fr. Jeffery Schulte officiating.
Visitation is 6:00-7:00 p.m., Thursday, at the mortuary with a liturgical wake and rosary at 7:00 p.m. Visitation continues one hour before Mass at the church.
Burial is at All Saints Catholic Cemetery, Mellette, SD.

Donna R. Jensen was born February 13, 1933 to Ed and Leona "Buddie" (Wulff) Morgen in Aberdeen, SD. She attended country school for eight years and graduated from Brentford High School in 1951. Donna received her Registered Nurse license from St. Luke's School of Nursing. Donna was united in marriage to Vernon Jensen on October 19, 1957 in Mellette, SD. She worked for Dr. Pittenger and then Dr. G. H. Steele for over 30 years
Donna was a gifted quilter. She designed numerous quilts and wall hangings. She exhibited many items at the Brown County Fair where she received numerous awards and best of show. She volunteered many hours with Sacred Heart Church, Roncalli Nearly New, St. Luke's Gift Shop, and at the Brown County Fair Centennial Village. Donna was a lifetime member of Sacred Heart Altar Society, Stamp and Coin Club, Quilting Club, and Donna also enjoyed solving Sudoku puzzles. Donna enjoyed attending auction sales with her husband Vernon looking for antiques.
Donna showed much humility and meekness, never wanting recognition or talk about her accomplishments. She had a spirit of service, always working behind the scenes.
Grateful for having shared Donna's life are her sister, Gail Smith of Loveland, CO; sister-in-law, Erlaine Braun of Aberdeen; and many nieces and nephews.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and infant brother.
