Donna E. McCulley, 87, Confluence, passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2020 at her home. She was born January 4, 1933 in Fayette County, a daughter of Robert and Dorothy (Dennis) Morrison. Her parents, husband, Grant, son, Michael, sisters, Evelyn Cameron, Virginia White, Barbara McCoy, Dorothy Smithburger and brothers, Robert "Sonny" and George Morrison preceded her in death. She is survived by a son, Larry, Confluence and daughters, Connie (John) Hummel, Garrett, Diann (James) Stark, Confluence, Vicki (Rodney) Williams, Confluence and Caroline (Vince, Sr.) Klinkner, Friendsville, MD; grandchildren, Jennifer (Michael) Pugh, Friedens, John (Stephanie) Hummel, Salisbury, Lori Ann Stark, Hampton, SC, Matthew Stark and girlfriend, Rachael, Flintstone, MD and Vince, Jr. (Kerah) Klinkner, Friendsville; great grandchildren, Teegan and Tristan Pugh, Ava, Ella and Alivia Hummel and Carter Klinkner; sister, Linda Childs, Uniontown and brother, Ralph Morrison, Dunbar. As a young girl, Donna worked in the homes of others, helping to clean and cook. She married Grant in 1950 and moved to Somerset County. Together they would have six children, and caring for these six and her home would become a fulltime job and her life's work. In addition to her clean and tidy house, she was known for her homemade bread and canning thousands of jars of vegetables from the three gardens Grant maintained. She will be remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Over the years she enjoyed multiple trips to Disney World with Jennifer and other family members. A highlight of her life was flying on a plane for the first time with her son Mike to visit Vicki and Rodney in Pearl City, Hawaii in the 80's. More recently she looked forward to visiting Lori Ann in Hampton, South Carolina. Reading her Amish books, watching her favorite television shows and caring for her little dog, Mickey, were how she spent her days in recent years. She attended the Confluence Church of the Nazarene until her health would no longer permit her to travel to and sit through the service. Due to COVID-19 concerns, funeral services, officiated by Rev. Robert Cale, will be private followed by interment in Jersey Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Confluence Church of the Nazarene. Arrangements by Humbert Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Confluence. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.humbertfuneralhome.com.
