Donna (McLaughlin) Finnerty of Braintree passed away peacefully on March 21, 2022 surrounded by her family at the age of 75. Beloved wife of the late John Finnerty. She was the daughter of the late Charles McLaughlin and the late Anna Steine.
She is survived by her loving children Leanne Scopa of Braintree and Craig Finnerty and his wife Luann of Norwell. She leaves behind her siblings Doug McLaughlin and his wife Anne, Pam Allen and Charlie McLaughlin and his wife Mary. She was also the loving aunt of many nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren Lauren, Lisa and Michael Scopa and Jenna and Johnny Finnerty and her cherished great grandson Jackson Green.
Donna enjoyed her career in banking that was unmatched and honestly will never be replicated. She spent over 40 plus years in banking and was a pioneer in developing the concept of a financial institution providing banking services for a union as well as the respective unions valued members. She was a legend in the industry. In her free time she enjoyed golf and her yearly trips to Aruba. She took great pride in her travels to other countries and the frequent cruises and train excursions she had gone on.
She will be deeply missed by all who were lucky to know her. Visiting hours will be held at the Peck Funeral Home, 516 Washington Street, Braintree on Monday March 28, 2022 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. There will be a visiting hour on Tuesday March 29, 2022 from 9:00 to 10:00 AM. Services will be held at the funeral home at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Blue Hills Cemetery.
