Sedro-Woolley - Donald Edward Uppendahl, age 86, passed away February 11, 2023, in Sedro-Woolley, Washington. He was born February 25, 1936, in Woodburn, Oregon to Robert and Norene (Hunt) Uppendahl.Don and Mary Beth raised their sons, Steven and Michael in Keizer, OR. Don's life's passion was fly fishing.Don is survived by his wife, Mary Beth; sons, Steven (Trina) Uppendahl and Michael (Lauren) Uppendahl; grandchildren, Grace, Brenna, Keira, Finley and Eamon Uppendahl.A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:30, Saturday, March 11, 2023, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 719 Ferry Street, Sedro-Woolley, WA. His final resting place will be at Willamette National Cemetery, Portland, OR.The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to all the staff at Birchview Memory Care, Sedro-Woolley. Our thanks to Hospice for their outstanding care. We would also like to thank Catholic Community Services, who provided care giver, John Quinn, who immediately became a "Family Member" to all of us, and Donna Kelly who tamed his granite hard nails, and Jamie Crosina of the Northwest Regional Council, and our wonderful neighbors of Rose Court, Mount Vernon, who leapt at any opportunity to aid us! We had many 'Home Care' aides, who greatly added to Don's comfort. They were extremely tender and caring.
